Your documents,
organized by AI.
Binder keeps your important documents organized and searchable — powered by on-device AI that never leaves your Mac.
macOS 15+ · Free during the beta
Your most important documents are probably your least organized.
Passport scan in your email. Insurance policy on Google Drive. Tax return buried in Downloads. You only notice the chaos when you actually need something — at the notary, filing taxes, or during an insurance claim.
Binder gives you one vault on your Mac where everything comes together — organized by AI, searchable down to the page, and entirely under your control.
Organized the moment it lands.
Drag in a PDF, scan from your phone, or let a watch folder do the work. On-device AI reads every page, names it, and makes it searchable in seconds — no cloud, no setup.
Import
Drag files in, scan from your phone, or let a watch folder handle it. PDF, image, doesn't matter.
AI organizes
Ollama — a local AI running on your Mac — reads each document, extracts the text, and suggests a title, summary, category, and tags. Everything stays on your Mac.
Search & find
Need something back? Cmd+K, type a few words, and there it is. Search titles, summaries, or the full text of any document.

I build Binder because I can't find my own paperwork.
Insurance letters, tax assessments, lease agreements — it piles up. And when you actually need something, you spend fifteen minutes digging through folders you created three years ago and haven't touched since.
I wanted to make that simpler. But there was a catch. All those documents contain personal information. Your tax number, your income, your medical correspondence. You don't want to send that to a server. And you certainly don't want it processed by an AI model you have no control over.
So I built it myself. Local, on your Mac, without anything ever leaving your machine.
